Submissions

The Midgardian Magazine™ welcomes unsolicited submissions from our readers. You may send articles, essays, short or periodic fiction, photography, or art, and our editors will happily consider your work for publication. For shorter popular topics, you may choose to submit for the website. Longer form works such as short fiction and specialist articles may be selected for publication in our print-exclusive editions. While our editors will make the final decision on where your submissions may be best suited, please feel free to select from the “website” or “print” options when completing your submissions form.

Please do not send “ideas” for prose fiction. On the other hand, we will gladly consider suggestions for topics that you would like our network of authors and researchers to explore, including but not limited to important voices in the contemporary Viking martial arts and reenactment community or other notable experts and practitioner of Old Norse or modern “heathen” culture. Note, however, that all suggestions must align with the Mission of the Magazine, so please carefully review prior to making your suggestion.

You might wonder whether your style fits in with ours. Please review the information below. If you need to familiarize yourself with the magazine, check out the Inaugural Edition and peruse the website for all you need to know. All we ask is that submissions to the print magazine be previously unpublished.
